Recently, the 3rd Silk Road International Exposition & the Investment and Trade Forum for Cooperation between East and West China was held in Qujiang, Xi’an, Shaanxi province. Mayor Ding Chun led a delegation to the event.
Themed with ‘new era, new pattern and new development,’ the expo focuses on how to open new scopes of economic cooperation based on the Belt and Road initiative, involving exhibitors of over 70 countries and regions with more than 2,700 booths.
At the expo, Changzhou displayed the achievements and features of its economic development. 2D Carbon (Changzhou) Tech Co., Ltd. showed their latest graphene products. Ding Chun visited the booth of Changzhou and talked with the business representatives. He hoped that more Changzhou enterprises will seize the opportunities of the Belt and Road initiative and participate in the market exploration. The CPC Changzhou Municipal Committee and the Municipal Government will follow the guidance of Belt and Road and promote the city’s advantageous industries such as rail transit, photovoltaic, construction machinery, textile and clothing to go global.
Ding also visited the booth of Ankang, the partner city of Changzhou. He said that both Changzhou and Ankang have their own resources, advantages and industrial characteristics, with strong complementarity in the economic cooperation. He hoped that the two cities will strengthen the exchange and cooperation to realize mutual benefit and common development.
It is learned that Changzhou has signed nine projects with a total amount of 6.953 billion yuan at the expo. Among them, the planting base of Chinese medicinal materials invested by Changzhou Fangyuan Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. and the selenium-enriched mineral water project invested by Changzhou Hi-tech Group Co., Ltd. were signed between Changzhou and Ankang at the signing ceremony of the Investment and Trade Forum for Cooperation between East and West China.
