In order to make full use of the resources of the Consulates General in Shanghai, and promote the related work of the 2018 China Changzhou Int’l Forum on Science and Technology & Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, on August 16, Sima Shuanglong, deputy director of the Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, led a delegation to the Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Shanghai.
At the meeting, Sima briefed consul-general Mr. Agzamkhodjaev Saidkamol about the preparations for the 2018 China Changzhou Int’l Forum on Science and Technology & Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, and officially invited the Uzbek Consulate-General in Shanghai to attend the opening ceremony of the Forum. Mr. Saidkamol accepted the invitation with pleasure, and said that he would visit Changzhou to participate in relevant activities.
On this visit, Sima and his delegation also attended the Exchange Seminar for Uzbek Students in Changzhou and the Uzbekistan Trade & Investment Seminar.
In recent years, under the Belt and Road Initiative, the exchanges between Changzhou and Uzbekistan in economic, trade and cultural fields are increasing. Jinsheng Group invested 100 million US dollars in Uzbekistan and established Jinsheng Textile Industrial Park there. More than 100 Uzbek students are currently studying in Changzhou University, Jiangsu University of Technology, and Changzhou Institute of Technology.
