On May 16, the 2019 China (Changzhou) International Tram Traffic Industry Technology Conference was held in Jiangsu Changzhou Economic Development Zone. Hundreds of Chinese and foreign guests participated in the conference and shared information about international cutting-edge technologies, latest achievements and development trends of the rail transit industry. Li Lin, deputy mayor of Changzhou Municipal People’s Government and secretary of CPC Wujin District Committee, attended the event.
It is learned that the conference has been held for 12 consecutive years. This year’s conference is themed with “Green and Innovative Development of Rail Transit”. The keynote speakers include Wang Kesheng, an academician of the Norwegian Academy of Technological Sciences, Ghislain Gravel, senior engineer of CRRC Bombardier, Sven Hunger, manager of Rolling Stock at TÜV SÜD Greater China, Xiao Shouna, deputy director of the National Laboratory of Traction Power at Southwest Jiaotong University, Li Wei, a professor at Central South University, dean of the School of Electrical Engineering at Southwest Jiaotong University, and Chen Weirong, chairman of Rongxin Energy Co., Ltd.
The rail transit industry is one of the leading industries in Changzhou Economic Development Zone. There are the century-old factory of Qishuyan Locomotive Works and leading enterprises such as CSR Qishuyan Institute and KTK Group, as well as over 200 rail transit businesses like NR Electric Power and Centuray Technology. With more than 2,500 products covering the major fields of diesel locomotives, high-speed diesel engines and brake and steering systems, the entire industry chain has been basically formed in the zone.
