On May 28, construction officially began on the Chuangzhi Port - New Materials Incubation and Verification Center, marking one of this year's key projects in the Twin Lakes Innovation Zone.
Funded and developed by Weichi Holding Group, the project represents a significant investment of 150 million yuan. The facility will span 11,000 square meters, with a total building area of approximately 22,000 square meters. The main structure is expected to be completed by December this year, with the entire project slated for completion by June next year.
Designed with a "low-carbon economy + open sharing" philosophy, the center will also kick off investment promotion activities. It aims to attract cutting-edge projects in sectors such as EV batteries, energy storage, photovoltaics, automotive parts, and robotics. Additionally, the center will focus on high-end healthcare and new materials, including biocells, innovative pharmaceuticals, and composite materials.
This year, Weichi Group has ramped up its efforts to establish itself as a premier urban development operator, fully supporting the development of the Twin Lakes Innovation Zone. Key projects currently underway include the first phase of the Headquarters Economy Zone (Central Park), the Bondent Industrial Park, and the West Taihu Lake Life Science Industrial Park. These initiatives are laying the groundwork for new quality productive forces in the region.
