South Korean travelers are making full use of China’s newly introduced visa-free policy, which permits stays of up to 15 days. Effective from November 8, 2024, through December 31, 2025, the policy grants visa-free entry to citizens from nine countries: South Korea, Slovakia, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Iceland, Andorra, Monaco, and Liechtenstein. Visitors from these countries can enter China without a visa for purposes including tourism, business, family visits, and transit.
In response to the anticipated demand, South Korean airlines are increasing flights to China. Korean Air and Asiana Airlines have already announced new routes to accommodate the growing number of travelers.
