Changzhou Kwang Yang Motor Co Ltd. was one of the first Taiwanese-funded enterprises to invest in Changzhou, mainly producing high-end motorcycles and lawn mowers. Its sales reached 900 million yuan in 2017. At present, the company is building a new plant and is expected to complete the relocation in the second half of the year.
In 2017, 16 Taiwanese companies such as Lite-On Technology, Jiangsu Gangrui, VARROC TYC Auto Lamps and Yong Qi (China) Bicycle, with a total investment of 334 million yuan in technological innovation and equipment purchase. Thanks to the large investment in technological innovation, VARROC TYC Auto Lamps has continuously launched high-tech new products. Its sales reached 623 million yuan last year.
As of the end of 2017, 1,322 Taiwan-funded enterprises have successfully registered in Changzhou, with a total investment of 10.106 billion U.S. dollars, including 268 projects with investment of over 10 million dollars each. 26 new Taiwan-funded enterprises were established last year, an increase of 62.5%. The total investment was 727 million, an increase of 99.8%. The registered Taiwanese capital reached 346 million, an increase of 115.1%, including three projects with investment of over 100 million each.
