On the afternoon of August 12, the 7th “Startup Jiangsu” Technology Entrepreneurship Competition and the 8th China Technology Entrepreneurship Competition (Jiangsu Area) Part of Advanced Manufacturing Industry kicked off in Changzhou National High-Tech District. The 55 projects selected from 13 areas in Jiangsu province competed for seven places in the finals.
The competition was organized under the direction of Jiangsu Provincial Science and Technology Department, involving six industries of the Internet, new energy and energy conservation, biomedicine, advanced manufacturing, electronic information and new materials.
Since registration was open in April, more than 4,600 teams and businesses from home and abroad have signed up for the competition, an increase of 6% over the previous session. Among them, over 1,000 businesses are in the advanced manufacturing industry, accounted for nearly a quarter of the total number of applicants. Through 13 local competitions in the province, a total of 55 start-up teams and enterprises, including five programs in Changzhou, entered the part of advanced manufacturing industry.
The finals of the competition will be held in mid-September.
