From October 30 to 31, a 11-member delegation of Tilburg, North Brabant, the Netherlands headed by mayor Theo Weterings, visited Changzhou. On the afternoon of October 30, Ding Chun, mayor of Changzhou Municipal People’s Government, met with the delegation at the Administration Center.
In 1997, Changzhou and Tilburg officially established an international friendship city relationship. Ever since then, the two cities have maintained friendly exchanges and cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, education, culture, health and so on. In August of this year, a delegation of Changzhou Municipal Science and Technology Bureau visited Tilburg and conducted in-depth exchanges on platform construction, UNISPAR cooperation mode and incubation project.
Ding Chun said that Changzhou is creating an optimal business environment, actively integrating into the global economy, promoting a new pattern of comprehensive opening-up and striving to achieve higher quality development. He hopes that the two sides will broaden cooperation areas and make new achievements.
Theo Weterings hopes to promote exchanges and cooperation in the fields of information technology, education and culture in the new era through this visit.

During their stay in Changzhou, the delegates visited Tianjiabing Senior High School, Changzhou Library, the International Friendship Garden in Hongmei Park and the Textile Museum at Canal 5.
