Changzhou will lift its minimum subsistence allowance standard next month to improve the livelihoods of the needy.
Starting from July 1, the monthly minimum subsistence allowance per person will be raised to 1,000 yuan from the current 940 yuan, an increase of 6 percent.
In the first five months of 2022, approximately 50 million yuan has been allocated to support 12,738 of the city’s neediest people.
