He highlighted the enduring connections between Changzhou and France, showcasing the city's robust industrial foundation, rich cultural heritage, and its welcoming, livable environment.
The cultural exchange event on May 17 was hosted at the Yili Garden, the first traditional Chinese garden in France, located in Yvelines in the western suburbs of Paris. Designed and constructed by renowned Changzhou-born landscape architect Shi Qiaofang, the picturesque garden served as a perfect venue for the event.
The event featured traditional cultural displays from Changzhou, including tea ceremonies, traditional Chinese acupuncture, woodblock printing, and folk music performances. These activities offered French guests an intimate experience of the beauty and depth of traditional Chinese culture.
