On August 13, it was learned from Wujin National High-Tech Industrial Zone that the foundation stone for the Jiahao Changzhou Cold Chain Logistics Base project, with a total investment of 86 million US dollars, was laid at a recent ceremony in the zone.
The first phase of the project covers an area of 130 mu (about 8.67 hectares), including three factories and one warehouse, with the cold storage capacity of over 200,000 cubic meters. The project is scheduled to be completed in the third quarter of next year. It will become a cold chain logistics center integrating warehousing, trade, financing and value-added services, serving Suzhou, Wuxi, Changzhou, Nanjing, Hangzhou and some other cities.
Sun Yang, deputy director of the Administrative Committee of Wujin National High-Tech Industrial Zone (WIZ), said that the Jiahao Cold Chain Logistics Base is an important practice of the integrated planning and construction of WIZ and Qianhuang town, which will strongly support the construction of WIZ’s modern lakeside science and technology industrial new town.
