Changzhou's youth night schools, an initiative launched by local Committees of the Communist Youth League of China (CYLC), have achieved remarkable success since their inception in May, with over 4,000 young participants citywide.
The program, spearheaded by the Changzhou Municipal Committee of the CYLC, has completed two sessions, offering 27 courses that attracted more than 400 participants. Organizers tailored the courses based on survey feedback to address the core needs of young people. To increase accessibility, the committee introduced a "mobile night school" model in July, bringing classes directly to workplaces, business hubs, and residential complexes, enabling young professionals to attend sessions after work.
District and county-level CYLC committees have also adapted the program to meet local demands, blending in-person classes with online sessions and other youth activities. The course offerings, including public speaking, yoga, smartphone photography, and boxing, have reached over 3,600 participants. Course lists were distributed to businesses, communities, and commercial centers to attract a wider audience.
