On the list of 2017 China's Top 100 Cities for Global Trade released recently. Changzhou ranked 25th with a comprehensive score of 72.6 points.
The evaluation of the top 100 cities for global trade was carried out by the General Administration of Customs. The criteria include 25 indicators of the five major categories of horizontal competitiveness, structural competitiveness, efficiency competitiveness, development competitiveness, and potential competitiveness.
In the first half of the year, Changzhou’s total import and export value reached 110.03 billion yuan, an increase of 8% over the same period last year. Among them, exports were 78.77 billion yuan, an increase of 3.8%, and imports were 31.26 billion yuan, an increase of 20.3%. It is expected that in the second half of the year, despite the external uncertainties such as Sino-US trade frictions, on the basis of a series of measures to create a favorable trade environment, Changzhou's foreign trade stability is expected to be further consolidated.
