On December 24, Sheng Lei, deputy Party secretary and acting mayor of Changzhou, headed a delegation to Yancheng city for a joint meeting on co-building the Changzhou-Yancheng Industrial Park.
Zhou Bin, deputy Party secretary and acting mayor of Yancheng, attended the event.
At the meeting, Sheng Lei said that Changzhou and Yancheng have maintained a good friendship and fruitful cooperation over the years.
She noted that since the provincial-led North-South City-to-City Cooperation (C2C) was launched, the Changzhou-Yancheng Industrial Park has seen remarkable improvements in cooperation methods, areas, and achievements.
The Changzhou-Yancheng Industrial Park, based on the infrastructure of CND Dafeng Industrial Park, is a cooperation project between Changzhou and Yancheng governments. So far, the planning area of the park has expanded from 3.8 km2 to 24.3 km2. From January to November, the park’s enterprises above the designated size achieved sales of over 3 billion yuan. The total imports and exports reached 181 million US dollars, better than expected.
During their stay in Yancheng, the Changzhou delegation visited the new energy vehicle plant of Human Horizons and learned about the latest progress of the industrial park.
