This year's May Day holiday, one day longer than that in 2018, witnessed a consumption boom in tourism, retail, catering and box office.
Changzhou saw 1,112,500 tourists at the 7 tourist attractions of 4A level or above during the four-day holiday that ended on May 4, a year-on-year increase of 20.8%. The surge of travelers pushed tourism revenue to 154.83377 million yuan, a 31.72% increase over last year.
These attractions include the Universal Dinosaur Town, Tianmu Lake Tourist Resort, Spring and Autumn Yancheng Tourist Area, World Joyland, Oriental Saltlake Resort, Tianning Temple and Chinese Filial Piety Park.
