On October 26, Changzhou International Cup, the city’s first 7-a-side international football tournament was held in Zhonglou Experimental Middle School and Experimental Primary School. Duan Ruidian, deputy Director of Changzhou Municipal Civil Affairs Office, Feng Sujun, chairman of the Standing Committee of the CPC Zhonglou District Committee, He Haiping, deputy mayor of Zhonglou District, Ding Shujun, director of the Second Division of Changzhou Municipal Sports Bureau, Zhong Peng, deputy chairman of the CPC Working Committee of Zhonglou Economic Development Zone, Zhou Weiqi, director of the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau of Zhonglou District, and Shi Chao, deputy director of the Foreign Affairs Office of Zhonglou District, attended the opening ceremony.
The tournament consisted of 10 teams composed of foreigners studying or working in Changzhou. The event participants, together with the first international volunteer team in Changzhou, jointly set up charitable donations to help children who live in poverty. The finals will be held at the Changzhou Olympic Sports Center on November 10.
