Recently, the 30 MW decentralized wind power generation program kicked off in Qianhuang Town, Wujin District. It is the first-ever large-scale distributed generation program in Changzhou. After being put into operation, it is estimated that the on-grid power generation will reach 72.18 million kWh, saving 22,000 tons of standard coal.
The program, with an investment of 230 million yuan, is planned to build 12 wind power generation sets with a single capacity of 2.5 MW.
Combined with the existing photovoltaic project, Fangdong Village, where the program is located, will establish a 100 MW "wind+PV" new energy base. It is estimated that the annual power generation will exceed 150 million kWh, which will further accelerate the development of a green, intelligent and high-end new energy industry in Qianhuang Town. The program will also increase the proportion of clean energy consumed in the whole city, thus promoting energy conservation and cutting emissions.
