From January to August, Changzhou’s industrial enterprises above the designated size recorded over one trillion yuan in business revenue, a 10.2-percent increase over the same eight months last year.
In particular, the industrial cluster of high-end equipment made approximately 300 billion yuan. New energy vehicles (NEVs) and auto parts, green, high-quality steel and new materials, and new energy crossed the 100-billion-yuan mark.
In the January-August period, the three clusters of new energy, NEVs and auto parts, and biomedicine and new medical devices recorded 61.2 percent, 56.5 percent, and 40.8 percent year-on-year increase in business revenue.
